...and walking in UP is NOT WORKING. I built up fat over the summer for them to BUUUURN when I start my journey in UP. BUT IT'S NOT WORKING D: I'm getting fatter day by day, and eating more and more eeevery single day that passes. BOO.

abs-cbnNEWS.com A third of the traffic going to social networking site Multiply, or approximately 300 million page views, is coming from Filipino users worldwide, top Multiply executives said Wednesday. Multiply president and founder Peter Pezaris said Multiply gets about a billion page views a month, a third of which comes from Filipinos in different parts of the globe. This makes Filipinos the number one users of Multiply, ranking higher than users in the United States where the site is based.  Pezaris said the Filipino culture's emphasis on family and relationships is the main reason why the social networking site is so popular in the Philippines.
"The reason why we are popular here, I think, relates to that notion of friends and family, the fact that our service is much more focused on connecting you with people that you know in real life rather than introducing you to people that you don’t know. It’s a site that really plays into the cultural phenomenon that’s here in the Philippines," he told abs-cbnNEWS.com.
 David Hersh, Multiply vice-president for business development, also said the integration of unlimited photosharing in Multiply is very attractive to Filipino Internet users. Most Filipino Multiply users are female, in the 18-25 age bracket, and average about 160 Multiply page views a month.
"Filipinos are just rabid consumers of content. It’s amazing. Those 160 page views aren’t just fluff page views of people bouncing from profile to profile. It’s people consuming photos, videos and blogs from the people in their world. It’s meaningful activity. It reflects the deep level of engagement that we have with our user base especially here in the Philippines," Pezaris said. Local partner For the Philippine market, Multiply recently partnered with ABS-CBN Interactive to tap local advertisers and launch mobile services for Filipino Multiply users. Paolo Pineda, ABS-CBN Interactive managing director, said the company is the exclusive reseller of advertising on Multiply for the Philippines. "If your online social network is full of people that you have no real world connection to, there’s very little reason to keep you there and it’s very easy for you to switch. But on Multiply, it’s your real-world social network online and your content and it’s the discussion that goes on around that content that’s going to keep you coming back," he said. Today marks UP's 100th Foundation day~ (Yay Centennial Freshmen)
I woke up at around 8.30 today since I have no PE for the rest of the month. (Although... We have to make up by attending 3 Centennial events and write reaction papers about it >_>)
I went to UP's PHAN building for my 10am Soc Sci 3 class at around 9.30. I saw people setting up and rehearsing on a stage.
I arrived at my classroom and saw 2 blockmatesss. There was barely anyone in that room. From the room, we saw hundreds of people marching--- some protesters and some UPIS students. A marching band soon followed them.
We saw our teacher, Ms. Bea down there watching, so two of our classmates went to ask if we still had classes. Luckilyyyy, she cancelled our classes... which meant I had no classes that day. Muhahahah.
Karisse, Sharmaine, Jam, and I went to look for stuff to do. There were mini taste-test stalls of drinks in front of AS/Palma Hall, so did try some Nestea iced tea and some Milo. HAHA. We also watched the band play various songs in front of AS. They were amaaajjing. They played "Dancing Queen" and "Way Back Into Love" to name a few.
Soon, we were out of things to do. We were supposed to stalk the band since we thought they would start playing in the next building, but it was too hot for stalking. Haha. We sat on the sidewalk in front of AS. My tita was supposed to pick me up around 10.30~11am. I saw Lala a few minutes later. To pass some boredom, I even called Sakura who was in UP Los Banos to get some updates what was happening there. Hahah.
We heard people talking about an Oblation run~ My friends wanted to watch, so we stayed there for a bit. I needed to go, so we tried looking for UPIS, where my tita parked her car since the Academic oval was closed because of the activities happening. She said she was in the street between Vinzon's hall and the College of Education, but I couldn't find that street. We were asked to stay on one side of the road and everyone else stopped. Soon enough, the band started to march and the Oblation-run-people were... running.

The crowd soon dispersed to get another glimpse of the Oblation run so we were finally able to go to Vinzon's hall. Then my tita called me and said that she meant 'the Psych building' aka PHAN, and not Vinzon's hall. Boo. We had to go back. Good thing PHAN was just near~~
I said g'bye to my friends, and soon enough, I ate lunch. Hehe.
...Now, I'm back home in Las Pinas. I'll be watching the "Pamantasang Hirang: UP’s History in Song and Dance Centennial Concert" later in the CCP Theater for my PE class with a blockmate and PE classmate, Mikli~~~ :D

You know what, I haven't seen a "Happy Father's Day" in the events box in Multiply. Nor did I receive any text messages greeting Dad's a "Happy Father's Day".
Why?? They're as important as Moms too. They account for 1/2 our genes. Their genes determined our gender. They've been the head of the family--- well, for most.
I personally don't show my Dad how I appreciate all his efforts. So maybe in this blog, I can.

Argh. Finally, a good day. I finally go to attend my classes properly.
GUHH.
I woke up this morning hoping that my eyes aren't as puffy as cupcakes, but unfortunately... They were.
I also had uber dark circles ovals under my eyes. For the record, that morning was the ugliest I ever looked. EVARRRR.
I had a Japanese class, in which I was bothered by the syllabus... it looked so hard! I don't think I can memorize all the characters in time for the exams which is weeks from now. Oh, and I have a Polish classmate. From an upper batch though. *EJEJEJEJEJEJ:))*
I had my Math class next in the Math building. I had friends there from my block!! Woo hoo! Finally, familiar faces. Our math class only lasted for 15 minutes-- attendance, syllabus, yadda ya. We left and had a mini-block lunch in the Shopping center.
I had my intro paper printed and we left for the Computer Center. Mikli and Meggie were the only ones left with me though XP. They're nice girls, they were classmates in Poveda. We walked to the Comp. Center which was, luckily, nearby. A bit.
I suddenly missed all my 11-Excellence classmates :'(.
We took an ikot Jeep to AS//Palma Hall where Mikli had classes... And I was off to my class in the Abelardo hall. You know, that class I couldn't find the other day? The clouds didn't look that good, but I still walked going there.
5 minutes after I arrived, it rained.
Good thing I walked fast!!! Mikli even texted to ask me if I was still dry. Hahaha.
MuL 13 (Music Cutures of the World) is a fun subject. The prof was nice enough to not count the first attendance check which I missed :D.
Talking of professors... All my profs are NICE! Really. They're all fun.
After that was my Anthro class back in AS. Palma hall. I had to walk. Again. Ikots were nowhere to be found >_>.
WALKING IS A PAIN IN UP. I'll get used to it, hopefully.
Our 'real' prof was out of the country, so we have a 'fake' one substitute as of now. He's nice though. And fun too. There was even a point where he did the "My name is Rain" from the Clear commercial. Haha, he didn't know who Rain was... (The class knew though)
He had to end the class early since he had stuff to do in their department.

I went to the Lib to have my ID Validated. Finally. All things to do done.
Took a jeep back to the dorm, and here I am.
Thank God I'm not crying like a fountain now unlike yesterday. I think my body's slowly adjusting. Phew.

GOSH. First day of college was... a pain. The University of the Philippines just had to be SO big. GAH. And protesters on the first day. O_O. Okaaaay, so my orientation ended at 1pm, so i looked for a high school classmate who also went to the same uni and ate lunch with him. I showed him my schedule and told me that i had a class at 1-2.30... It was around 1.10 at that time... I was eating... I realized I overlooked that, so i ran to a jeepney terminal and started asking the drivers where the AH Minihall, the place where my class was, but they didnt know so I asked the guards around, they told me to try some "AH" minihall, but it was the wrong AH building, so i went back to the building for freshmen, then asked people again. Mind you, the buildings are far from each other that you really need to take jeepneys when going from one building to another X_X. They told me to go to "Annex Hall" since it's the only AH they knew... but it wasn't that building either. I gave up looking for that class. Then I thought I had math next so I took another jeep to the math building which is isolated somewhere... I look for my classroom and saw that it was empty... So I checked my sched and found out that my Math class was 10-11.30am... and I was supposed to have Anthro back at the building for freshmen... so i took another jeep back to where I started. I ran up to room 312, where that class was, and when I arrived at my classroom, there was a note there on the board that said "NO CLASSES TODAY". Since I had free time, I looked for that class I wasn't able to go to... and finally found it. "Abelardo Hall"--- AH. Grr. College of Music. (The class was called World Music Language...) I went back to my dorm, and broke downnnn. I was cryingggg. I thought I messed up my first day, hehe. I'm homesick here in my dorm :( All alooone. Maybe I should go find a dormmate?? Heheh. UGHHHH. What a nice first day. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

I was supposed to go to Shanghai today for the last "O" Asia Tour Concert in... well, Shanghai tomorrow. But due to all the aftershocks and diseases in China in the past few weeks, my Mom decided to cancel it. Shanghai looked safe though. GAAAAAAAAH. DBSK went there today too. So I would've met them if our trip pushed through today. *cries*.
Ugh. Now I gotta settle for watching their concert through that DVD we got for Christmas tomorrow.

SPAZZ #1 - Cancelled trips, dysfunctional weather, and... what else?
Ajcdschuishaiuazxphdgs!!! Our Shanghai trip on th 31st got cancelled due to all the stuff happening in China. There's the foot-and-mouth disease, the earthquakes (and aftershocks) and this other disease. GAH. I'm kissing TVXQ's 2nd Asia Tour Concert goodbye (Now I'll never be able to wave that 東方神起 bubble lightstick I bought from Yesasia). Our second Bataan trip was also cancelled because Miguel's mom was unavailable... and lastly, our trips to the pool. Stupid weather keeps changing and I got the worst cold everrrr--- but that spazz will be saved for later. You know you haven't been swimming is you're *this* 'white'. GAH.
SPAZZ #2 - CAKES. cupCAKES. And my eating habits.
Gosh, I'm practically IN LOVE with cakes. And cupcakes. The BLUEBERRY CHEESECAKE & Oreo Cheesecake from Starbuck's is LOVE (and expensive). I still can't forget my mint choco cupcake from Sonja's during Nica's birthday. It was......... unexplainable!!! It's a dream come truuuuue. And the Oreo cupcake from Go Nuts Donuts is also superb. OH, OH, those cakes we got from Bellevue were AWESOME-NESS. Especially the Blueberry one. My infatuation for blueberries started there (just an infatuation, I can't cheat on Strawberries!!!)...
Anyway, on a desperate attempt on gaining weight, I've been eating more than usual. Just the other day, on one of my Dad's extended birthday celebrations in Tokyo Cafe, MoA with Steph's family, I ate 5 pizzas, 3 chicken-cheese rolls, 1 fried chicken, and 1 mango crepe (all to myself). And I didn't feel insanely stuffed afterwards. I wonder how much weight I put on this time?

SPAZZ #3 - Singing lessons. (A-mooooo*voice break*ooooo-reeee!)
Haha. Nooo, I'm actually progressing. I still get voice breaks since I got colds (and stupid cough), I think I'll gain a bit of my voice back. It feels stupid though, I had the voice back then and never took lessons, lost my voice and ignored it still, and after 4 years, here I am trying to get it back. I'm not giving upppp until I get it back!!! I still can't believe it took me 4 years and a Korean boyband to make me realize it was actually important and losing a talent feels so wrong.

SPAZZ #4 - My horrible colds. (And it's best friend, cough.)
ACKJKSDHIXHUVF!!! The last time I got a cold was... when was it... I think reviewing from a math test?! (No, I didn't get it because I was studying math, it was because I studied with a person who had colds. M-i-g-u-e-l.) Anywaaaay, I CAN'T BELIEVE I GOT COLDS. On SUMMER. It's just NOT right. And no, I refuse to take medicine because I can't swallow tablets/capsules/blah. Cecon, my vitamin C, will be enough. I think. And I'll sleep early sometime. :D

SPAZZ #6 - My nth failed attempt to pack for dorm.... and COLLEGE!!!
I'm sure all Freshman La Sallians out there are happy on their first day of being official-official college students. I'm officially a college student, I even have my ID already, just not official-official. Haha. Well, on June 10, which is 15 days from now (I wrote that line on 11.44pm). Right now, I just can't bring myself to pack up!!! It's still early. A bit. Maybe next week, when the word "procrastinate" is non-existent to my brain.
Now, now, is that even possible?

Haha, I'm not even sure if I should go spazz about this, but anyway, I'm just googling over the blue mascara I got. It's not everyday you see blue eyelashes!!

Actually....... :D SPAZZ #9 - Manga obsessions. And books I read, because yes, I do read.I finished around 50+ mangas this summer. I finally caught up to the latest on Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles and xxxHolic. I can't believe these two are still unfinished... It's been 2 years!! I bet even the mangakas need time to actually get their facts straight since the story right now is a bit... messed up. Anywaaaay~ I also started reading Gossip Girl because it seemed interesting, and I need something 'interesting' in my life. It's easy to read though, I can finish a book in less than a day. Bought the first three books. I GOT THE 3RD BOOK FOR P72.50. I have no idea why it was priced like that in NBS. It was like... the last copy for that book. It was open, but in good condition. I was about to leave, but something just told me I HAD to check the price. I did, and woah. My instincts are good. I also finished "The Little Prince"~~ It took me around 3 hours. 1 hour reading, 1 hour napping, and the last hour for resuming and finishing the book. Really. SPAZZ #10 - I forgot......Because Wonder Girls' "So Hot" was playing and I kinda forgot what else to spazz about. I WAS SERIOUSLY GOING TO SPAZZ ABOUT SOMETHIIIING!!! OH. There. U-KNOW (my macbook) GOT HIS BATTERY PACK BACK!!! Now I can go around without the annoying plug which, when I remove, he dies. Welcome back to being run on batteries, U-know! SPAZZ #11 - Dreams.I've been dreaming a lot these days. Like... every night. I forget them once I'm up though. The weirdest ever? I lost my first kiss in a dream. :X. It's still intact in the real world though, haha! I better take good note of each one starting tonight! Some of them get really good at times. Actually, all are, I haven't been getting nightmares. There you have it, my life for the past month. I think. I'll be back for more, once I get my memory going. :D
